06/05/2021 Personal Values & Integrity Index

Day Four.

I'm not saying I felt zen or anything - if anything I spent my day more angry than anything (more on that in a minute) - but I certainly felt pretty present for much of the day.

I think it has something with a. being outdoors all day (I'm renovating my van remember), and b. doing physical work with tangible, visible progression.

That's something I'm going to make note of as I think adding these types of things to my life more often will have a positive impact overall.

But, as I alluded to earlier, I spent much of the day angry because I couldn't for the life of me work out how to put the sink in the van. This I could do without, but, maybe that's all part of the process.

How did I get on with my values?

I think I did pretty well all-round.

I spent very little time on my computer which was great, very little time on my phone (which is even better), was building extra freedom into my life with my van, and although I spent much of my day pissed off with building shit, it was pretty creative.

So I did pretty well on all fronts.

Well nearly all fronts...

Once again on my trip to Bunnings for DIY gear, I kind of tried to semi steal due to negligence if you know what I mean.

You know, when you've got something small in your trolley that you know the checkout person might not see, and you don't point it out.  Kind of the guiltless crime.

Anyway, the lady saw it and I paid for it, but my intention was to not say anything, so I guess that gives my integrity meter a bit of a hammering once again.

Got a PO BOX

Oh, and almost forgot,  I set up a PO BOX today too.

That way, no matter where I am in the world, my mail will get delivered to my PO BOX.  Pretty cool if you ask me.

This adds a whole lot of freedom to my life which is a big tick on the values index for today.

Yay!

What I did good

  • Fucking crushed it on the van.
  • Went cold water swimming.
  • Got a PO BOX set up.

What I did bad

  • Tried to guiltless steal from Bunnings.
  • Checked CoinMarketcap about a hundred times.
  • Didn't eat that great.

Tasks for tomorrow, to be better than I was today:

Gotta get the van sorted once again.

But I liked the amount of time not spent on my phone so I'll try to replicate that.

I think I'll get up and into juicing too as I really did feel nice with those juices the other day.

And not too much else if I'm honest as I'll be pretty flat out.
